Roles & Responsibilities

As Portfolio Management Office Lead, I was responsible for ensuring that appropriate PPM governance structures were in place across BT Financial Group Superannuation Program Delivery and that they were appropriate, transparent and embedded. I was a key contact point for Finance, Risk & Assurance and Enterprise Investment Services (EPMO) across the portfolio, responsible for embedding an improved operating rhythm across various concurrent program and project teams.

My key responsibilities were:

  • Working closely with the EPMO, Group Finance and Group Assurance, ensuring that programs and projects adhered to EPMO standards and that program and project progress, status, risks and issues were reported transparently and accurately across the portfolio.

  • Providing support to multiple concurrent teams in setting up processes, procedures and practices which ensured alignment to the Group’s program and project management standards and practices.

  • Working with Enterprise Project Finance to accurately report on financials for multiple programs and projects within the portfolio; and

  • Supporting various concurrent teams to compile Business Cases, Funding Drawdown Requests and Change Requests where appropriate.

  • My role as Portfolio Management Office Lead had a dual focus:

  • A strategic, advisory and consulting focus: Providing advisory services to the entire portfolio across several PPM knowledge areas, embedding best practices for program and project management, governance and financial processes; and

  • A hands-on, operational focus: Providing hands-on support in the successful execution of a number of programs and projects within BT Financial Group Superannuation Program Delivery.
